New: the LA300H retaining wall

Silage clamp walls are increasingly being combined with an automatic cover system. This is known as the lasagne pit principle. Automatic covering enables more frequent and ‘layered’ ensilage, which improves feed consistency and milk results. The new Bosch Beton LA300H retaining wall was developed specifically for silage clamps with a cover system.

Integrated wall and heel you can drive over

These 3-metre-high retaining walls have an extra-long heel. When covering and removing silage, the cover system moves across the stable heel along the silage clamp walls. The walls can be placed directly on a sand bed or mortar, saving both on construction time as well as additional building materials and costs.

5 advantages

The new walls have several advantages:

  1. Extended heel for automatic cover systems
  2. High stability due to large bearing surface
  3. 15 tonne axle load up to the edge
  4. More acid resistant concrete quality C60/75
  5. 15-year guarantee

A first

Dairy farmer Miedema in Blessum, Friesland, wanted to optimise his storage, combined with a cover system. We placed a silage clamp using the new LA300H retaining walls with extra-long heel. As the cover system moves over the longer heel, no additional paving is needed. This dairy farmer is enjoying an industry first as his silo is the first ever to be fitted with our new retaining walls.
