Retaining walls form the basis for a salt depot in Beilen
Bosch Beton L retaining walls have been used for a salt depot at the Municipal waste collection facility in Beilen. A roof construction was then placed over this to keep the salt dry.
We worked with Houtstaal to construct a salt depot at the Municipal waste collection facility in Beilen. A roof construction was built over the 4-metre-high L retaining walls with heel. Road salt is stored in the salt depot to keep it dry. The roof is of a sliding construction and can be adjusted according to the amount of salt in the depot. This ensures that Beilen is well-prepared for the winter weather.
L retaining walls
4-metre-high L Retaining walls with heel were used to construct the salt depot. These retaining walls were constructed especially for this roof construction application. As retaining walls last a long time, the depot is also a sustainable form of storage.
