Silage clamps for grass and maize in Brabant

We used our retaining walls to install two silage clamps in Nispen, Brabant. The silage clamps are 28 metres long and are used by the dairy farmer to store grass and maize.

We installed silage clamps of 28 metres with our L250 heel retaining walls at Denissen Van Tiggelen VOF dairy farm in Nispen (Province of Noord-Brabant). The dairy farmer stores grass in one silage clamp and maize in the other. A compartment was installed in the centre for effluent and rainwater.

L Retaining walls

We supply L silage clamps in two types: with heel and without heel. The L250 heel retaining walls were used at this dairy farm. What is unique about this type of retaining wall is that it has a 2 cm camber at the bottom. This camber offers additional protection from effluent and acts as a rubbing strake.

Finish

The silos were sealed with indestructible bitumen sealant and finished with an acid-resistant asphalt layer, installed by Avema Wegenbouw in Achterveld.
