Anthracite retaining walls modernise FBK Stadium SportsCentre in Hengelo
The site around SportsCentre FBK stadium sports complex in Hengelo underwent a complete metamorphosis. Bosch Beton L retaining walls with anthracite coating give the complex a stylish look, ensuring that it is again in perfect keeping with the sports centre’s surroundings.
The metamorphosis was needed as the sports centre grounds in Hengelo appeared somewhat incongruent in the surrounding neighbourhood. The entrance of the complex was also not easily accessible for everyone. Bosch Beton retaining walls in anthracite gave SportsCentre FBK stadium a new look.
Anthracite coating
Bosch Beton retaining walls were used to create a ramp to ensure that the complex is easy to access for all visitors. We used L retaining walls with heel for this project, as the heel provides extra stability. We placed retaining walls varying from 2 to 3.5 metres, which enabled us to bridge the height difference easily.
The anthracite coating gives the retaining walls a stylish look, ensuring that the complex is a perfect match for the surrounding neighbourhood.
Placement
We placed a total of forty metres of retaining walls at this sports project in Hengelo. The truck arrived on site at the right time so we could place the retaining walls quickly and with precision. We used an 85-tonne truck-mounted crane to place the retaining walls straight from the truck. A win-win situation for all parties!
