Extra storage and security with retaining walls
Metals are expensive and popular with intruders. That’s why Schrootbedrijf G. Schrijver wanted to equip its yard with yard fencing that also serves as security. Our retaining walls are very suitable for this. We also created extra storage compartments.
Scrapyard
Schrijver BV started buying and selling old paper in Apeldoorn in 1960. Following expansion of activities and several relocations, the company is still involved in buying and selling old paper, as well as old iron, metals and plastic film.
Particularly metals are expensive and prone to theft, which is why the customer asked us to create yard fencing high enough to also serve as security. The scrapyard also wanted more storage compartments to store the different recyclable materials including wood and plastic.
Customised solution
From the planning phase, we helped devise an optimised solution for the situation. Our overview drawings immediately offered the customer a good impression of how the yard would look.
For the yard fencing, we supplied our standard L350 retaining wall with heel. We created the two storage compartments using our TWA300 wall; a wall that can be loaded on two sides. We cut the walls to size to ensure a good connection with the other walls (L350 heel).
We placed a total of 115 metres of retaining walls in a day and a half in various lengths of 3.5 and 3 metres high.
Quality
Bosch Beton produces high-quality products. That was the reason our customer decided to choose our retaining walls. The total solution including assistance in placing the walls gave our customer the assurance that the retaining walls would be placed correctly.
