Multifunctional terrain fencing as a boundary between two industrial premises
The new terrain fencing serves a double purpose: it not only creates a clear separation between the two company premises, it also makes these premises practically useable for both parties. A parking area has been constructed on the heel side of the retaining wall for visitors to the industrial hall of ground improvement specialist Cofra B.V. Raw materials for the construction industry are stored on the foot side of the retaining walls by Mibau-Stema Nederland B.V.
Neighbours in the construction sector
Under contract to Boskalis, we contributed ideas for the efficient design of the Cofra and Mibau-Stema company premises. Cofra, a subsidiary of Boskalis, specialises in soil improvement and the installation of environmentally protective membranes and barriers. Mibau-Stema, a supplier of construction materials, is located immediately adjacent to Cofra. This party supplies high-quality raw materials, such as granodiorite, which is also integrated into our retaining walls, to the construction and infrastructure sectors.
A shared boundary, a single shared approach
The two companies had a need for new terrain fencing to clearly mark the boundary between their respective premises and make them optimally useable at the same time. We facilitated this by installing the L300Hak and L400Hak retaining walls. The height of the walls creates a clear boundary between the company premises, and the heel creates additional stability, which increases its load-bearing capacity. This enables Mibau-Stema to store raw materials up against the wall, while on the heel side a well-designed parking area has been constructed for Cofra’s visitors.
Retaining wall as the last step in renovation
Together with Boskalis’ executing party, our placement team looked after the installation of the retaining walls. For Cofra, the new terrain fencing was part of a larger renovation of their outdoor premises. The walls complete the terrain and facilitate the optimal use of the available space.
