Bosch Beton delivers emission-free: first electric transport to Germany

Bosch Beton has completed its first fully electric delivery in Germany. For the EWE Go HOCHTIEF project, our trucks are now crossing the border with zero emissions, marking another step towards our ambition of 100% emission-free production and delivery.

Following several successful electric deliveries in the Netherlands, we are now expanding our sustainable transport activities to Germany. There, the joint venture EWE Go HOCHTIEF is developing a large-scale charging infrastructure network, for which Bosch Beton supplies the prefabricated concrete foundations. Wherever distances allow, these foundations are transported using fully electric trucks. In this way, we make a tangible contribution to the sustainability objectives of this project.

Prefabricated concrete foundations for charging infrastructure

The new charging stations, located across Northern and Western Germany, are being realised on behalf of Deutschlandnetz. The aim of this national charging infrastructure programme is to ensure that drivers throughout Germany can easily access fast-charging stations nearby.

In total, approximately 850 charging points will be constructed, spread across locations with and without canopies. At locations where a canopy is installed, Bosch Beton’s prefabricated concrete foundations form the structural base of the roof construction.

Last week, the first concrete foundations were delivered to Germany using an electric truck. With this project, Bosch Beton takes an important first step towards a new standard: emission-free transport for both domestic and international deliveries.
